Kelly Canyon Ski Resort is located in the Targhee National Forest near the South Fork of the Snake River and is one of the most beautiful and historic river valleys of Eastern Idaho. This region is rich in many recreational activities such as: swimming, hiking, fishing, hunting, boating, snowmobiling and skiing.
Within the massive park boundaries, you can find mountains, rivers, lakes, and some of the most concentrated geothermal activity in the world. The park has 60% of the world’s geysers as well as many hot springs and several mud pots. Perhaps the most famous feature of the park is the geyser Old Faithful.
You can also see the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River, one of the world’s largest petrified forests, and countless waterfalls. Courtesy National Parks.

Along the Snake River in Idaho Falls is a very scenic, 6 mi. paved trail enjoyed by joggers, bicyclists or pedestrians who just want to relax beside the 20 foot waterfall. It is an excellent urban bike path. Views of the falls are on the west bank near Broadway.
Standing on the banks of the Snake River, just above the cascading waters for which the city is named, the gleaming white Idaho Falls Idaho Temple serves as a centerpiece to the city. Just east of the temple is a gorgeous garden and public visitors' center featuring films, displays, multimedia presentations, and an awe-inspiring reproduction of Thorvaldsen's Christus statue.
